Wildfires are an increasing challenge in Europe. A project by the Portuguese company Ibero Massa Florestal demonstrates how fire-damaged biomass, dried-out undergrowth and invasive species can be used as feedstock for biochar production.
In collaboration with our member Carbonfuture, this approach was documented in the short film called “CHAR: Fighting Wildfires with Biochar.”
