In order for biochar to be used as a fertilizer or soil amendment in agriculture, it must meet additional requirements. The key criteria here are both the provisions of the EU Fertilizer Regulation and the quality standards of the European Biochar Certificate (EBC).
This is exactly where the Desorber Mk1, developed by our member SYNCRAFT, comes into play. The Desorber allows the produced biochar to be post-treated so that it meets the requirements of the EBC AgroBio standard. The Desorber can be integrated into both new and existing SYNCRAFT reverse power plants.
